These cottony bundles have been alluring me for a while now, but the large quantity of eggs in them have kept me from venturing on that path.  Lately, I have come across various recipes which uses less number of eggs, I especially liked the recipes given here.

My first effort was an Orange Chiffon Cake. It came out perfect and I loved the whole idea of a chiffon cake and this recipe used just 4 eggs. I quickly distributed the cake to people all around just so I can make the next one. Since then, I have tried most flavors many times over; Coconut, Chocolate, coffee, passion fruit, even ketan hitam (black rice flour). The orange chiffon cake remains everybody’s favourite.

I still am fascinated by these cakes and end up making at least one a week. Here are some pics.
