Here is my second attempt at Christmas cookies and probably the last this year. I
 have used the same amazing chocolate cookie recipe as last time but changed the frosting. The last batch of cookies made with egg white didn’t look too great once dry also the strong egg smell didn’t go too well me.         

 

Frosting recipe from here, easy to make and consistency can be adjusted by adding corn syrup/milk or powdered sugar. One can go wild with a little imagination but you need  immense amount of patience and a house full of kids to really make it worth the effort.

The leftover and cracked cookies went into making the base of some individual Banoffee pies. No extra butter needed here, just crush the cookies, press it into muffin cups and bake them for 5 minutes before filling the cups. I should mention here that chocolate base for a banoffee pie was a dream revelation!
